Creating a New ResourceΒΆ

A Resource in BizMetry represents a business asset (ASBO) that you want to monitor within a Profile β€” such as an AI Model, Purchase Order, Vehicle, or Bank Account.

You can create resources manually by entering all fields directly, or you can import them in bulk from an existing database using the Import Resource Types wizard.

🧭 How to Create a New Resource¢

  1. Navigate to the Resource Summary View.
  2. Click the "+ New Resource" button in the top-right area of the panel.

βš™οΈ Environment MappingsΒΆ

After creating the resource, you can configure Environment Mappings to link the resource to specific database tables in each environment.

Environment mappings tell BizMetry where the resource's data lives in each environment (e.g., DEV, QA, PROD), enabling auto-instrumentation and data anchoring.

Mapping Resources to Data Sources

Environment mappings are configured separately from the basic resource details. Navigate to Template β†’ Environment Mappings to configure them.

πŸ’Ύ Saving the ResourceΒΆ

Once all required fields are complete:

  1. Click "Save" or "Create Resource".

The new resource will appear in the Resource Summary View.

Resource Type Required

A Resource Type must already be defined in the Profile's Template before creating a resource. If none exist, configure them first in Editing Resource Types.
