Creating a Profile Using the Wizard¶
BizMetry provides a Profile Creation Wizard accessible from the Main Menu that guides you through the full setup of a new Telemetry Profile — from naming and template selection to environment and agent configuration.
This wizard is the recommended entry point for first-time profile creation, as it consolidates all required steps into a single, guided flow.
🧭 Accessing the Wizard¶
- Click on the Main Menu icon (☰) from the top navigation bar.
- Select "Create Profile" from the menu.

The Profile Creation Wizard opens.
🪄 Wizard Steps¶
Step 1 — Basic Details¶
Provide the fundamental information for the new Profile:

| Profile Name | A unique, descriptive name for this telemetry profile. |
| Description | A short description of the project or business area being observed. |
| Language | The primary language for this profile's telemetry (e.g., English, Spanish, Japanese). |

Step 2 — Template Selection¶
Choose how the Profile's Telemetry Template will be initialized:
| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| From an existing Profile | Clone the template structure of another profile in your account. |
| Empty Template | Start from scratch with a blank template. |
| Master Template | Initialize from a BizMetry-provided master template for a specific industry vertical and tech stack. |

If Master Template is selected, additional dropdowns appear:
- Business Vertical — Retail, Banking, Healthcare, AI & Analytics, etc.
- Tech Stack — Java + Spring Boot, Python + FastAPI, Node.js + Express, etc.
Step 3 — Environment Setup¶
Define the initial environments for the Profile (e.g., DEV, QA, PROD).
For each environment, specify:
- Environment Name
- Environment Type (Development, QA, Staging, Production)
- Description (optional)

Step 4 — Summary & Confirmation¶
Review all configuration choices before creating the Profile.

Click "Create Profile" to complete the setup.
✅ After Creation¶
Once the Profile is created, you'll be redirected to the Profile's main view where you can:
- Edit the Telemetry Template
- Deploy Agents to your environments
- Register Clients and Resources
- Configure ASBO Anchoring and Environment Mappings
